An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
